@truenorth you have to remember that Ted didn't need to take the job at CVT, he was well looked after by Nick Moore at Macquarie in their corporate Tech division.
He spent months doing DD on the company and the technology prior to coming on board.
A bigger pay cheque isn't always a motivator for CEO's / leaders. Many are motivated by the desire to succeed personally and professionally.
Do some back of the envelope numbers on Ted's equity position. He will make far more $ getting this business to a cash flow positive state / taken over, than he would be accepting a role paying him twice as much as his current salary.
