Just spoke to Ashley. You guys were right.. easy to talk to and advised to call him anytime.

He said that the ground there had soaked up the water like a sponge which slowed things down even though the rain had stopped.. dust is coming off the road at the moment and we aren't more than a couple weeks away. He didn't want to be more specific than that. The guy who handles the emails for the company may be off at some place in Asia where a certain football competition is currently on and may have dropped the ball (sorry bad joke) on checking them while away. Hence why no response to emails. He said he was going to look into this.
