I consider myself a short term trader too at the spec end. A few minute to maybe a few week holds for me.

However the hope, hold and never sell (of course being free carried) has sorta worked with SIR for me having bought prior to the discovery.

I wouldn't personally be shorting SIR at the moment for a trade. If the hit significant gold which can be bought into production quickly and cheaply and/or hit another Nova+++ with their current! extensive drill program! the trading halt and subsequent gap up could turn shorts into the size of a belt (read as small loss into a large loss).

Just my opinions. Definitely not advise.
