You know what? I really hate the idea of investments being viewed from gambling lense. My wife accused me of gambling investing in ASX shares. I totally resent that. But we all invest based on calculated risks. I see my shares investing like a business, but business decisions could some time be wrong.
So perhaps my use of the word 'betters' was not quite right but what I was trying to convey was whether S32 will take the calculated risks based on preliminary assessments (sampling, magnetic surveys etc ...) without drilling into the core of the deposit.
Referring to Grub's 'minor write off' comment, it depends on how big or small their 'minor write off' is. I'd rather the drill bits drill into the deposit and we can tell the world about it rather than being paid out peanuts. I don't go to TAB nor the casinos and I don't play Russian Roulette, but I would prefer the tenement drilled out and a JORC defined and we get paid MORE.
