We all know in hindsight what the reality has been. Comment in teh announcement is that the growth in outlet rollout will start to be reflected in March and june 18 quarters so there is lead times . The track history has not been good as you are aware so shareholders paying up early for growth and margin is a game that has not worked out with these guys previously.
Seriously you still have comments like these coming from what should be a high growth company who wants to compare against 12 month old numbers ( yes believe it or not I understand the variability in quarters in consumer demand) and if you were a multinational mega manufacturer it would be comparable metric as you have stable outlets and numbers but ......
"Many of the confirmed additions will benefit sales in the coming March and June quarters versus our prior year results"
In the AGM they put forward the expected use of 30 mill in cash over coming years as if they intend not to make a profit and have other funds to spend on growing the business.
DonnyD we are looking through different coloured glasses - that is all with different time frames probably and that is fine but IMO but it is a tough business and this one has huge overheads and has taken a very long time to get customers on board even with high retail margins ( assuming they haven't changed their business model) when they should have had them queuing at the door and being able to use their manufacturing capacity and reduce relative marginal costs per item.
How much Canada social media have you seen?
How much NZ ?
What promotion has been done to wildlife partner database for Christmas?
Real social media is about interaction with repeat visits and engaging not about one off visits and shares. If Yow can't expand and make good $ off existing margins then they need to leverage off social media true engagement as they have a very sought after demographic if they can leverage ff it an that is where I see the real dollars as it will create demand for cartoons, movies , product and ......................
Expand
Re Canada ,
from memory social media to promote roll out will start next year , why pour money into social media and advertising when the product isn't readily available yet . Get the product in store then promote it and when kids go looking for them they can find them , just my theory so I'm not arguing with you .
In the past you have been vocal about promotion in regards to having a mascot handing out free yowies etc etc (which was a good point ) well your call has been answered , see the link below posted by Musky I think.
That might answer your question about promotion with wildlife partner as well,
As for NZ I've heard nothing
