I had spoken to Allan Branch the other day (an utterly nice man). He said that a comparison check was being done with lawyers to see if the contracts were correct. They clearly were correct! He also said Bergen swapped debt for equity/shares, as they thought the company would do well. He said the debt to them was small, but they chose shares instead of repayment. So now, I guess, they are long KRB.
This will take a while to play out, and the share price is not gonna go ballistic for a while, I am guessing, until those conditions precedent are done with. I am hoping we get a bid lobbed by the other mob on better terms. :) Even if we don't, we are still a bit better off now than yesterday. I reckon there could be some news coming up as each CP gets ticked off.
