Congratulations to Rob and the team. They picked up Wagga Tank for an absolute bargain. It seems Rob and Peels team with there now extensive knowledge of cobar style deposits have been able to find further mineralisation where others have failed.
I believe Rob and the team have done a great job over the years. I have followed pex since 2012 ever since the the very exciting discovery of Mallee Bull. Over this time i have held peel shares on and off, but mainly on. I sold my Peel shares at the begginning of the year because i saw another opportunity in Mod resources, they put out a great announcement and the market didnt react, so i seized on that opportunity. I had limited funds so i sold my pex for mod and i have held mod ever since.
I think Rob and the team have done a great job. Since 2012 atleast half of the small cap resource stocks are no longer listed on the asx. In this time Pex have printed very minimal shares. They have very few shares outstanding, with a very tightly held share registry. Also Rob and the team have a lot of skin in the game. They have not deviated, they have not lost patience or focus on trying to prove up a mineable resource in the Cobar region. Where most of there peers are of chasing the next hot commodity Peel have not. They have stuck to there game plan and persevered through a major base metals commodity slump.
They have had some exciting success at Wirlong and in particular Mallee Bull. Not as yet have they got quite enough economic mineralisation at the right depth for a stand a lone operation including a mineral processing plant. That is not to say with further exploration success that this will not happen. Mallee Bull cant be too far off this position, so hopefully with the right copper prices and some further exploration success they may yet turn it into a stand alone operation. If not the pfs for a truck and haul operation at T1 maybe viable and hopefully the catalyst for further exploration success at Mallee Bull. Time will tell. Pex have some what been constrained by the jv partnerships but ultimately i think they have been a very positive thing. The jv partners have spent the bulk of the funds exploring there prospects over the last 5 years, allowing peel shareholders the benefit of minor share dilution over a period of a major commodities slump and where there peers have been decimated.
I really hope Rob and the team are onto something special at Wagga Tank and this new Southern Lights prospect will be the company maker. Rob and the Peel management team really deserve reward for effort and i hope they get it. And the same can be said for there loyal shareholders.
Im really hoping diamond drilling at Southern Lights uncovers a bonanza of base metals and possibly gold. Especially at a time of rising base metals prices and also the fact Wagga Tank is 100 percent owned by Peel.
I may yet regret selling my peel shares too early lol. Exploration success is never guaranteed no matter how exciting the prospect. But i really hope this time Peel and there loyal shareholders have the goods. Time and luck will tell, lets see what the diamond drill bit reveals.
Goodluck to Rob and the team and there long time loyal shareholders.
