Hmm Sarg, i think that historical drilling would have found such a monster. With all the work that's been done & holes that have been put down by previous explorers i doubt such a beast would have been missed. But the exploration industry is full of near miss stories. This may be one of them.

However i have seen plenty of previously explored ground deliver very rich mines to those that have interpreted the historical data with a fresh set of eyes. Lets not forget it is often the historical data that leads others to discovery. After all Wagga Tank etc are not green fields exploration projects. Peel has had the benefit of all those who have spent considerable $ on that ground before them. I'm not taking a damn thing away from their achievements.

Having said that i think they are really onto something now. For someone like J. Pitt to say what he did in the Hampton annual report is amazing in itself. He's a very conservative guy who does not normally make such bold statements. He really must like what he saw. Peel are lucky to have the benefit of his years of experience. I have a feeling that Pitt is a little more hands on than simply popping in for a visit every now and then.
