Gold and base metals explorer Chesser Resources (ASX:CHZ) has identified some strong gold intercepts at the Kestanelik Gold Project in Turkey.
The first drillholes in K2 vein highlights:
- 9.3 metres at 9.6g/t gold; and - 10 metres at 7.8g/t gold.
Drilling from Karakovan vein highlight:
- 20 metres at 5.8g/t gold; including - 4.5 metres at 20.8g/t gold.
Rick Valenta, managing director, said, These early results from the K2 vein are very encouraging, and open up a new front in our exploration on the property.
The K2 vein has a strike extent defined by outcrop and resistivity of more than 200 metres, and we are already planning follow-up holes along strike and down dip to build on these excellent initial results.
Results have been received from the first 10 holes in the drilling program, of which 38 holes have been completed for 3,600m, comprising of 2,300m Reverse Circulation and 1,300m diamond.
More results will be announced to the market as they become available.
