re: Ann: EVG reports on its near term expecta... Hi Mav

"My concern is that holders don't stick with this, boredom sets in and the sp lags before first pour."

That has concerned me a little as well, however I'm hoping there'll be newsflow from Azuay (and elsewhere) to fill in some of the gaps. The annual report (as I recall) said that the next step at Azuay was to engage a contractor to drill from the tunnels (roughly 14-18kms worth of them, I seem to recall), and that they're simultaneously pursuing environmental approvals for surface-based drilling. Azuay could produce some high-grade excitement, based on historical results.

The silver lining of a sleepy share price, if it does happen to eventuate during the months ahead, is that it might be an opportunity to get aboard, or top up, in less volatile times. I say that because it seems to me that goldies have been running hard for a while now, and might need to consolidate for a bit at some point before moving further up. I tried to catch the EVG train yesterday for just a few more shares and ended up watching it recede into the distance. It made me feel like a bit of a twit given that I've been helping it to gain speed. It was like stepping off the platform into space.

Of course, another possibility for generating revitalising newsflow is that EVG brings in new deals or re-visits their on-hold ones. They've tracked down a range of promising prospects so far, and there's no reason to think that they'll slacken off the pace. The tailings re-processing niche seems to beckon, particularly in poorly industrialised countries with historically inefficient treatment methods. The more geographical diversification that EVG achieve, the less vulnerable they'll be to sovereign risks.

BTW, I'm looking forward to hearing that the Grimston World buyout is finally signed, or was that hiccup resolved without me noticing?
