The significance is twofold IMO:
1) ST the "significant premium" paid by this new corner stone shareholder should form the base for the SP going into 2010
2) More importantly this will provide EVG with $9-10 mill in cash (assume placement price is between 9c - 10c) to accelerate either or both of Peru and Ecuadorian projects.
This is especially important given the strong price of gold and expected trend into 2010. The sooner EVG can become a producer the better for the market cap. We SHOULD be producing 65koz per year in 12 months time from LL and this will rerate the SP accordingly. To add another 100k (eg from Ecuador) asap after this the better for all of us...
BJ holds a large % of company and thus he would not dilute shareholders (himself included) unless there was a materially bigger benefit associated with it.
Quick question - what do people think the new options will begin trading at in late Jan-10/ what value do you think that they hold right now?
