I actually use counter-intuitive observations in my TA trading as much as any TA pattern, and it has paid off handsomely on quite a few occasions. It works much better than TA alone. About 15 months ago I got a sell signal on PLS, as my observations were it had simply run out of buyers. I mentioned that signal on TA grounds and FA grounds to everyone on the PLS forum and was resoundly told I was wrong for a myriad of reasons.
After the price started to retreat the flames became much more aggressive to me with some blaming me for the fall, but all it was, was a simple observation of human behaviour. When I gave a buy signal, with the bottom being in, not many paid attention to that either.

It has taken me many years to learn that TA is as much about human behaviour as it is about squiggly lines on charts, even though many TA practitioners claim the charts show all human behaviours. They mostly do, but forums have given another dimension to following human behaviour.
