re: Ann: EPW: ERM Power rejects Empire's ... Comeon guys you didn't really expect ERM just to go off the deep end did you and just bought 10% for the bad way to make a point to EGO and SHERs did you.???
ERM have to be taken for the company as they are and a very professional approach would have been made. I made this point a few times that ERM would have gone through the right channels of the JVA to address their concerns. I am sure the JVA has provisions for disputes between partners to be settled like WHARF would have too.
As a non operator they virtually have no say and would easily have fallen on deaf ears as they could spin any story on costs and time delay blowouts. This is exactly where WHARF complained but they stood their ground and look where it got them. ERM are in the same boat and have stood their ground and are now rattling their sabres.
AS project manager, construction manager and overseeing the commissioning and post commissioning, I feel at the huge fees CM charges as a consultant could have been better utilized in the office expediting the fast tracking of the assets work. Imagine how much time was spent in the field at 200/hr consultancy during construction. Money for jam.
AS I also said in previous posts and to Brookes quotes that operations in the field should not be affected by this action as its business as usual until EITHER the present board stays on or there is new management in place after the meeting. ERM also reiterates of the furphys that Brooke was trying to spread across the public arena, namely HC, being confidential and sensitive info pre released before the official confirmation from the board.
really the disputes of delays and costings have cost ERM $$$MMs more and clearly weren't happy about that. Wasted production time too.
