Blind trials where you test a patient who can communicate their pain levels test and then using the app you compare results

If high correlation then on patients who can't communicate you know what their pain levels are, although i am sure I have over simplified that explanation

Abbey system is the standard for non communicating patients and measures the degree of pain , not just yes no are you in pain . The issue of using the abbey system is it is the person who is subjective in assessing the pain

If epat are able to objectively measure the degree of pain this takes the subjectivity out from the assessor , in fact anybody without training in abbey test assessment and health care could assess pain levels using epat

It also can be used in hospitals where patients are asked to rate their pain on a scale of 1 to 10, to avoid dependence of drugs or patients subjective assessment the epat app could be used

CSIRO assess epat using their technical boffins who have more initials before and after thrir name than me, so to have chosen them aling with 11 projects is a good endorsement for me , the news itself is my validation rather than understand csiro assessment which you don't have access to information anyway
