Petra ran the $8m CR and they are still buying up, given the bots have been the most active over recent weeks it's likely to be them at the helm.
Looks to me like they are trying to accumulate on behalf of someone. The bots cause disruption and allow accumulation to occur at low prices and volumes over months so as not to telegraph that there is a high level of accumulation by a single entity.
It's also halted the slow orderly rise that occurred before the bots got nasty.
All just speculation
