    You have to wonder why NMDC would agree to stump up $12 million when discussions with Hawthorn Resources aren't finalised. After sitting on their hands for so long and making very little positive progress on Mt Bevan in the last few years, there is not much point deciding to raise money now until the fate of Esperance port is known.
