I know there is a lot of hype with EM1 but to me there are some serious concerns with what Google announced - if you think this is downramping then take what you want I am actually not looking at buying but have been watching EM1 for many months.
1. Where are EM1 servers going to be located? Google has servers everywhere so they will have less delay for inputs and I would also dare say better ability to host the games.
2. The money backing behind Google would in my mind be much much larger than EM1 - probably multiple times the MC of EM1.
3. Not to insult the people at EM1 however I am sure there are many more smart minds (maybe even smarter?) at Google than at EM1.
4. The technology available for Google I would dare say is greater than EM1 would be able to access.
Google has money, technology, money, servers, brand awareness and heck they even have been known to divert traffic away from competitors.
It will be a real battle - wish you all the best...
PS nVidida also has a game streaming service - https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/shield/games/ there is a lot of competition from some very big players - I also don't really see any of them looking at purchasing EM1 until it proves it is a competitor - which I think it will be a struggle.
