    Vlad,

You may want to re-read all the announcements and how the technology works.

From memory (I'm not going to go back through the announcements), The pixels opperate in the ultrasonic region and work together to create a wavefront of any audio frequency. The frequency response is such that lower frequencies have lower amplitues. This is why 100hz was not realistically achievable in single chip solutions. Low frequency requirements would need to be met by multichip designs.

It was a lucky break that they found that certain partial structures had a different frequency response which had a better low frequency response, at the expense of power effeciency.

It would seem that each MEMs iteration requires updates to the driving alogorithms, so that the device can create complex wave fronts. If the physical behaviour of the device changes a little, a little change in algorithm is required, if a big change occurs, a bigger change is required. No, doubt the new device structure they have discovered will require some big development effort to get it playing music (i.e. it will take some time).

Whilst playing single tones (frequencies) would be relatively straight forward, with multiple tones (i.e. music) you get intermodulation distortion if you don't get things right. Anything wrong is, by definition, distorion.
