I've really got no idea how(or whether I have too) I should apply these rebates to the cost base of the shares I hold for future capital gains calculations. Should I treat it as a return of capital ? Not sure, as it's a tax rebate so not income.
Not as much as last year but it's going to be a bigger $$ amount to me as I'm holding alot more shares now than 1 year ago.
Nice bonus added to your tax return if you have a decent holding, so holders don't forget to claim it on your tax return.
