French group Engie seems to have been trialling Hythane both for vehicles,& as a means to progressively replace gas in pipelines for domestic heating etc
Using pure h2 through existing pipeline requires specific hydrogen appliances to be fitted (eg, stoves, boilers) whereas if Hythane mixture used then existing appliances can be used. Enables less costly, faster transition. Plus the emmission benefits.
