Hi,
FYI:
On Monday, November 19th, just after Eden released their ASX announcement about EdenCrete being used in their first Shotcrete application, I spoke at some length with the Technical University of Freiberg (TU Freiberg). I also sent them EDE's announcement:
https://www.asx.com.au/asxpdf/20181115/pdf/4409q6xtbsxvr0.pdf
During our conversation, they said to me that EdenCrete seemed to have ticked quite a number of important boxes, most specfically EdenCrete's unique and superior bonding characteristics, fast solidification and early strength, and EdenCrete's excellent shrinkage behaviour, which are all crucial aspects to the successful application and use of Shotcrete. The next day they sent me the following PDF, which I found to be very informative:

Today, I sent the TU Freiberg EDE's announcement about EdenCrete being used in the US$190 million Vail Health East Wing Expansion project. In a conversation shortly afterwards, we discussed this news, particularly the "rebound" and "pump pressures" subjects in today's announcement. According to the TU Freiberg, "rebound" is a major problem during the application of Shotcrete, as it is a safety hazard, lots of rebound is wasteful and it needs to be cleaned up, which is very time consuming. With regard to "pump pressures" this is also a safety aspect, due to the fact that the hoses and nozzles are under substantial pressure. Under this pressure the pump machine also requires a lot more fuel as well as having to undergo additional maintenance, which is a cost issue. It is my oponion, that due to the lower pump pressure, and the lower level of rebound, the application of EdenCrete will also be far more "user friendly" i.e. the ground crew should much prefer to apply it.
It is my view, as well as the TU Freiberg's, that EdenCrete should have a huge future in a wide range of Shotcrete applications. However, before I get too carried away, I would appreciate if one or more experienced "Shotcreter's" or "concreter's" could substantiate the above claims.
Best regards,
Mark
