I beg to differ.....I guess time will tell....with the markets collapsing I think the bid will succeed and those that are selling at less than the bid price obviously have taken the view that they want the cash now rather than wait for the offer price......I suspect the gap will close a bit in the next few days as the arbs come back in ...the arbs would have been absent today due to the size of the market fall but will come back as they stabilise,...chance of a counterbidder seems to be zero..Horizon Roads would be feeling very comfortable as it is the instos that will decide the issue and not small investors, and the instos want the cash!
