You forgot to mention that in most exploration the needle is never found at all. Each year companies drill thousands of holes into the ground and the harsh reality is that most never find anything at all, or what they do find is not economic to extract.

If there are no meaningful results from the current exploration program, raising funds for future drilling at this prospect will likely be much more challenging.
