People often dont understand that exploration is not just proverbially, but REALLY trying to find a needle in a haystack.
Drill holes during an early exploration effort is spread far apart - trying to cover as much ground as possible. You need to appreciate how SMALL a mineable deposit is - Mount Keith nickel (BHP Nickel West) is one of the biggest in the world, and it is only a couple 100m’s across in either direction.
The art in exploration is to use these early holes, and try to “extrapolate” where the mineable orebody (if any) is.
Everything GBR has done to date indicates that there SHOULD be a massive sulphide deposit there somewhere. Either at depth, or adjacent to current holes.
We are being marked down due to this early campaign not hitting jackpot (i.e. being lucky) by putting a drill hole through the “mother lode” - an event so rare that, if you were expecting this to happen on an early drill campaign, you are better off taking your money to the casino.
