Looks like the shorters are out of control here!
16/7 944,372 short sales out of total ASX turnover 2,363,661 40%
17/7 771,159 short sales out of total ASX turnover 2,194,168 35%
The ASX is becoming a playground for financial industry.
What it should really be is a way for companies to raise capital and shareholders to invest in companies!
The shorting leads to greater volatility and higher losses for holders if there is negative news. ie higher risk!
