Dunnart 1 info
Bookara Sandstone top was 617m measured fromrotary table and was 23.5 m thick. Sitting directly onbasement.
Details on the bookara sandstone from Dunnart 1 wcr
The Bookara Sandstone Member was intersected 79m high to prognosis and was somewhat
thinner than predicted: 23.5m versus 35 m thick. Based up on gamma ray signature (clean,
blocky) there appears to be 5-6m of the upper shore face facies present within the interval
619 – 629mRT. This is a similar gross development to that seen in Wattle Grove-1 some
3Km to the WNW. Below 629mRT the interval displays the characteristic “hot” gamma ray
signature of the lower shore face facies with its high concentration of heavy minerals. There
were no shows associated with the uppermost sands. However, fair to good oil shows were
associated with the tight middle-lower shore face facies in the interval below 629m.
Dunnart 2 info
Bookara sandstone top at 614m measure fromrotary table and so far is penetrated to 627m, so at least 13m thick.
So the key thing for Key is the clean upper shore facies present as that has the best chance of flowing oil!!
