Broadsoft picks Dubber for call recording on Broadcloud UCaaS
Australian cloud-native call recording firm Dubber has been selected by Broadsoft to provide the native recording platform for the latter’s unified communications-as-a- service suite running on the Broadcloud platform.
Specialised in unified communications, Broadsoft has been fairly prominent in the Australian telco landscape of late; Optus announced earlier this year that its new Loop cloud-based fixed-mobile PABX replacement would be powered by Broadcloud, and Broadsoft expects to make further announcements with Australian carriers by the end of 2018. That makes the new agreement particularly significant in the local context for Dubber, and indeed the first services will go live in Australia – although it is targeting availability to all customers globally by the end of this calendar year.
The two key elements of the deal are that Dubber’s on-demand recording will be en- abled as a standard Broadcloud Carrier feature, the default for any user requiring call recording; and that Dubber’s entire product suite will be available to all Broadcloud Carrier call recording customers across its network through the Americas, Europe, Asia and Australia. Broadcloud Carrier is a managed UCaaS platform aimed specifically at telco providers, enabling them to quickly deploy the Broadsoft Business suite of cloud, UC, collaboration and contact centre applications for their customers.
“Dubber’s call recording platform has been designed to provide scale across a service provider’s customer base, enabling solutions for use cases which go beyond ‘always on’ recording for specific regulatory and contact centre requirements. By enabling Dubber as a standard feature, service providers around the world using BroadCloud Carrier will be able to quickly meet end user demand for call recording, with absolutely no cap- ital equipment outlay,” said Dubber CEO Steve McGovern. “Customers will be able to record a call ‘On Demand’ and, by having the service already enabled, the service pro- vider will be able to take the customer on a journey from ‘On Demand’ to various packages of call recording based on required usage. We also see significant opportuni- ties to progress Dubber’s long-term goal of providing big data applications via our intelligence suite ‘Zoe’ across BroadCloud’s global telecommunication service providers.”
