Another outstanding announcement from DTI.

This time for an order covering 48 light rail vehicles for a combined value of $3.4m AUD with options for an additional 115 light rail vehicles down the track, no pun intended, for an additional value of $8.2m AUD.

The opportunity becomes bigger again when you think that DART (Dallas Area Rapid Transit) also operate a fleet of 652 buses and a commuter rail service that consists of 9 locomotives, 17 bi-level coaches, 8 bi-level cab cars and 13 rail diesel cars.

There's plenty of upside in this contract announcement going forward, and even more so as Dallas is only the third city DTI has cracked after Philadelphia and San Francisco.

There is so much room for growth in the US - the world's largest mass transit market, yet alone the rest of the world ex-USA.

With a market cap of just $28.4m AUD and a share price of just 35.5c, the upside over the long-term for DTI is enormous.
