I think they are saying that they think there is brine the whole way through.

But due to the elevated in temperature near CSMAT line 4, this area has lower brine quality for this reason only. Fumaroles at surface are only observed in this area.



So there is a good chance there is brine north and south of line 4 and hopefully it is better quality due to better temperatures (and unaffected brine) away from CSMAT line 4.
