HAS AKK said how far in horizontal distance its laterals will go ?
Lets say the swept area from a vertical is 40 acres ie 16 hectares (about 400 meters * 400 meters ) and the lateral goes out 1 km then that would supposedly give (1000/400) = 2.5 times the swept area to draw from with a similar increase in oil production compared with a vertical .
That 2.5 times increased production level compared to a vertical should cover the extra cost
