something to consider from the NST announcement on Carbine/Paradigm dated 14/1/16 while we await our drilling results in the area:

"The latest results extend the known high-grade mineralisation at Paradigm to 1km and the deposit trend remains open in all directions.
The results highlight the strong potential for Paradigm and the adjacent Carbine deposit, both of which are 100 per cent-owned by Northern Star, to play an important role in the Company’s growth strategy."

"Exploration and Geological Details
At Paradigm North, located 150m north of the existing Paradigm open pit, further RC and diamond drilling in the original discovery area has continued to intersect broad zones of very high grade gold mineralisation at the Treasure Chest zone (see figure 2).
Within the Treasure Chest, gold mineralisation occurs in a north trending complex array of stacked quartz veins and quartz-sulphide stock work with exceptional gold grades. Drilling has defined high grade mineralisation over a strike length of 350m from near surface to approximately 250m vertical depth and remains open in all directions.
Infill resource definition drilling of the Treasure Chest zone has commenced in preparation for an initial resource estimate for the project. Consideration of potential development options has commenced with preliminary metallurgical analysis indicating the mineralisation is free-milling."



and from the half yearly update announced 20/2/17:


"Exploration
Extending mine life across the operations is the strong focus for the Company with a $60.0 million program building on the exploration success achieved in the prior year. During the current period, the Company has continued to record new discoveries and strong results from major in-mine drill program at the Jundee and Kalgoorlie operations as well as excellent drilling results from regional exploration programs in the Kanowna, Carbine and Kundana districts. Tenure holdings have been significantly increased with transactions in the Kanowna, Carbine and Jundee districts in Western Australia and the Northern Territory."





and from the quarterly activities report released 27/4/17:

"Paradigm/Carbine
A significant resource definition drilling program with seven surface diamond drill rigs commenced on the high-grade Paradigm system in the Carbine area. Drilling is focussed on extensions to the previously mined Natasha lode and the new Arina lode structure north of the existing Paradigm open pit.
A Maiden Resource estimate for the project will be finalised for mid-year reporting in conjunction with an analysis of future development options. At the end of the quarter, dewatering of the existing Paradigm pit commenced to give access to the existing underground mine."


So while we are certainly not guaranteed success with our current drilling NST see this as their next brownfields growth target.
