re: Ann: Drilling Results at Nakru1 Demonstra... My geophysics is a bit rusty but there is always a 'halo' effect with IP and EM anomalies, similar to how there is with say soil anomalies. Induced Polarisation is not an 'exact' mapping tool for mineralisation but is recording an electrical response of conductive/chargeable mineralisation. A very conductive area will influence IP readings well beyond it's actual insitu dimension but with rapidly decreasing strength as distance beyond the chargeable body increases.

A quote quickly brought up by Google search for example:

"In general, significant induced-polarization responses are observable throughout a region much larger than that oc cupied by the spherical anomaly."

The modelling of a chargeable body within an area of elevated chargeable response is a black art. It could well be that the body extends vertically with depth beyond the modelling, the response of the survey in the upper body swamping any response from further down. The prospect is by no means closed off. Mate of mine likes the story and has held for more upside, he's another geo so always consider a geo's opinion with the same predicability as an economists:)

The ability of RS to rally enough troops to see off New Guinea's overhang is one of the criteria I am waiting to tick off before re-entering COY. All things considered I didn't see enough 'sure thing' about the grades/size to warrant risking my 'bird in the hand' given the history/credibility issues that arose. I am impressed he has even managed to get 3.5M buyers today because before today it was just tired bulls getting out into historically a very illiquid stock.
