Another seemingly excellent announcement that is going unnoticed.
Does anyone have a feel for this prospect? They are looking at an early 2017 JORC with the objective of some open pit initial mining to generate cash flow to support the bigger underground operation. The zinc grades are pretty impressive, maybe averaging 5%. Plus copper, gold and silver credits. But what is the tonnage? I am guessing some 500 metres long, average 15 metre thickness and 60 metres deep. So 500,000 cubic metres @ 2.6T/cubic metre = 1.2M tonnes. And at 5% zinc = 60,000T of zinc. At $2700/T, that is some $160M of contained metal. Not bad for a $12M cap company! Not super confident with my calcs to be honest but if right, seems pretty good given its at surface and right beside an existing processing plant (albeit that needs to be taken out of mothball) so not too expensive to mine?
Thoughts?
