Kaplik, the carparks can't be empty based on the numbers they are providing, and Lego had the carparks full I believe when it was opening, I'm not sure we would expect full carparks on weekdays outside school holidays ATM. I'd like to know what the revenues were excluding lego as well. However the attendance figures while being at discounts, show an improving trend. I'd hope not all the rides are open, especially one in particular, but I think if you get a discounted ticket and some rides are closed you might still perceive value for money, and not every visitor will complain to everybody. Finally discounted tickets can drive extra revenues from the high margin junkfood on sale there, and so the discount will not be indicative of the total gross margin.
I suspect a lot of the local Brisvegans will just go to the store. However it will be a drawcard for tourists who will plan to visit both, rather than just one. And I think it will actually end up being a further profit driver while the novelty value is there. I'd probably take my child there to see the lego stuff if I was to visit Bris, and move along to Dreamworld afterwards.
