Downer EDI Managing Director, Geoff Knox today announced that Eric Kolatchew has
been appointed as Chief Executive Officer of Downer EDI Engineering, commencing
January 2010.
“Eric is currently CEO of Dalrymple Bay Coal Terminal Management and previously held
senior executive roles within the BHP organisation. He is a very experienced engineering and
construction executive with an outstanding background in the establishment and delivery
of major industrial projects and is widely recognised as a global specialist in this field”, Mr
Knox said.
“Eric replaces outgoing CEO Wayne Nolan who has played an integral role in the
development of our engineering services capabilities.
“The Engineering division has strong work-in-hand and extensive capabilities in the
resources, energy, transport, oil/gas/petrochemical, technology, telecommunications,
water and environment markets.
“The addition of Eric to our senior executive team continues the development of the
Group’s leadership talent to deliver greater shareholder value,” he said.
Mr Knox also announced that with the appointment of Grant Fenn as Chief Financial Officer,
responsibility for the next phase of both the synergies program and shared services will be
transferred to his portfolio.
“With these changes our Chief Services Officer, Peter Graham, has decided to leave the
firm. We thank Peter for his great efforts in successfully establishing world-class synergies and
shared services programs to provide future leverage for the business,” Mr Knox said.
