There is a problem with this idea of maximising value as both offer includes shares. In the case of Magnum Hunter, it will take up to a month from the time of acceptance before Magnum Hunter shares are received by the accepting AQO shareholder. That is pretty long time to be at the mercy of the US markets. Just look at the trend of Magnum share price!
