Good prices for FeSi for OMH will also result in high costs for a startup up smelter in Indonesia if it ever gets going. This smelter ( no names mentioned) requires 0.43 tonnes of FeSi to produce one tonne of FeMn. So for every 1 tonne of FeMn produced, OM Sarawak or Pertama Ferroalloys will get a sale of $978 of FeSi. Good business for OM Sarawak or Pertama Ferroalloys.
The next Quarterly due shortly will be one of the best ever. With all 16 x furnaces running at full capacity and sales will include FeMn, SiMn and FeSi stocks held over from last quarter. Manganese ore sales shipments should be up too as OMH Bootu Ck started the quarter with 50,000 tonnes in stock.
