$250k in stocks for retirement and owning a home is not rich. Such a pension will be on the pension.
Youre failing to understand that a company has already paid 30% tax on your earnings for you. Ie they have withheld it in the same way an employer would. You’re not understanding how and why franking credits come about. It’s a PAYG system effectively.
