No, I don't believe he is as he is on a few boards that have Garry Crole as a common director SB isn't common on any other boards as I can locate. My personal view is that he just doesn't like that they have to go the requisition route and is taking this opportunity to resign. As I recall he has 300,000 shares so has a bit of skin in the game. Not material to any decision though.
Really the poor form seems to be that either SB has sufficient support - cannot take more than 3 hours to contact almost 80% of the shareholders by votes and you would know. In most companies, this would be resolved in a room. Maybe JL is reacting to that.
