Anyway, because they are chips, they will be binned according to quality and used in applications they are appropriate for. e.g. Highest quality for high end stereo systems where sound quality is premium, low end for open air PA systems.

You are also correct that the customer will determine what chip qualities get used where.

I am not going to buy an OLED or LCD TV or monitor with dead pixels in the display. You can tell me until you are blue in the face that I won't see the dead pixels from across the room and the change in picture quality will be imperceptible - but I still won't buy it.
