I reckon Fred is pushing Danny to demo what they got.
The phrase 'performance under “real playing” conditions' means if they sound good to the ear then we can demo them even though the pixel yield and other test measurements are not perfect.
And 'balanced assessment' means 'if we wait until the thing is perfect everyone will lose interest, lets go with what we have got'.
