The excuse at the AGM was that due to fast-tracking the process, the etching process wasn't complete quite properly - so AP provided the fabs with additional time to run through the process again, now it seems the chips have come back and there's another issue.


I used to use this trick all the time when you're running late, and instead of telling the person you're 30 minutes away, you say 15 minutes, then when they call you back you say there's traffic, and you'll be another 15 minutes away. That way the person is waiting for you because in the first instance it's only 15 minutes, then the second time around you've already waited 15 minutes, what's another 15 minutes.

Some contractors don't even bother turning up, they'll tell you a time, and they just never show up- then they make some other excuse. I've never done this, but had this done to me plenty of times.
