Who cares? you ask. Well I care if the next news is a significant delay while we wait for another wafer run. I care because I have a substantial investment in the company and I want to see it succeed while I am still young enough to enjoy the result. I also care because this small group of scientists and engineers have been working hard for years to deliver a revolution in technology as great as any we will see in our lifetimes.

Others may care for the same reasons. Or they may care if their stop-loss orders are hit, only to see the share price rocket when they no longer hold. They may care because they think, rightly or wrongly, that a competitive product may emerge that may not be as good but may be good enough to grab a market share.
