Whatever the reason one thing for certain is that something needs to change.

Exploration is not the issue. I think we all agree on that. But success in the field is not resulting in a firming price. I think that Mickeys idea (a few months back) of private broker briefings has a lot of merit. The current promotional methodology is clearly not working ! If it were then traded volumes & pricing would be substantially higher.

One would have thought that if SBM were truly interested in acquiring Peel then they would have been topping up with the recent large sell down from $0.70 to $0.42. But no notices on a change of interest from any substantial holder. Seems they are content with their current holdings & don't wish to add.

Waiting for at least another 12 months for a prelim jorc resource calculation is not necessarily the answer for this to gain traction. A hell of lot can happen to market sentiment in 12 months. Both good & bad. Given the lofty levels the DOW is now trading at then the odds are certainly favouring a less rosy outlook. Then there are the implications of a federal election to consider. A change of government will result in a massive change to taxation of capital gains. An implication that will impact every one of us.
