Sure, they may not have had the confirmation assays, but they did know something - they had core with gold!

The other worry about this announcement is the 4m grade comp is basically driven by the 99.3 assay. The remaining 3m comprises 3.9 ppm, or 1.3 ppm per m.
On a positive note, the announcement tries not to hype these patchy assays, and concentrates on providing measured facts.
