They can 'mark' and 'trace' anything as far as I'm aware............quite a significant thing and no small feat imo. So 'waste' tracking sure seems doable...........I would guess that if they 'mark something' during manufacture they could then trace it right through the 'chain' to land fill or recycling stations if the monitoring tech is there to read the 'unique barcode'.............this type of application has some very interesting implications when you think about it.............
