You should take a look at the work myself and @binwood started on this correlation on the gold thread a while ago. We charted the correlation spikes. When I get back to my computer I'll post a link for you. What we did was original work which might surprise you when you see how sharp the correlation spikes develop. It would be nice to update that chart. What do say binwood? you know where to source the data sets. Some pundits as I've posted on the bank watch thread are predicting a collapse in the euro (off the back of a disintegrating EU) and a rise in the USD and gold. When I look in my crystal ball I don't discount this scenario developing over the coming months, years. The Italian referendum is the key. If Renzi stays all systems go, no change , the euro-elites live to play another day. If Renzi is outed the second domino in Europe has a good chance of falling and that will spell the beginning of the end for the euro currency IMO. eshmun
