That is the very problem. This is a investment site and a investment forum. There are general forums even on HC for " raising awareness"etc etc
The whole "promotion of renewable" and " greening" of industry is a business. Many of the magazine journalism style articles are jsut that. CCE used every " key phrase" and cliche bingo clause they could to be part of that.
As " factual" as these cut and paste posts were the unbalanced comment that went with them wasn't and many posters or readers probably couldn't discern that they were not elated to CCE or near term prospects of CCE and were a lot of noise.
Very early on I asked if posters would like to post their "media" in separate threads as they were a distraction to the real ( or lack there of ) of information coming from CCE. I was shouted down as it didn't suit the posters posting it
Look I liked reading articles for entertainment and background but they were not for investment and there was no balance as only bright new flashy positives were posted and realist opposing posts or facts on engineering finance, viability , structure, timeframe or design just go washed away . Many posters with knowledge simply stopped posting.
The occasional article that was directly related to CCE and contained facts always interested me and I would not have seen them unless they were put in front of me as I appreciated but it was a long trawl to find it.
Have a look at HC threads on a variety of different industries and the most dangerous places to be are the stocks that have vast numbers of happy clappers and trapped holders. Probably more dangerous to finances than stocks that are outright pumped or down-ramped in many aspects. Add to that were a particular belief comes in be it medicinal marijuana , environmental saving the world and it rings alarm bells for me.
Add to that the poor journalism in so many articles ignoring physics and chemistry basics and a unquestioning audience and it is like a game of Chinese whispers
Unfortunately it has been shown that forums don't change prices of shares much but I can tell you that unbalanced forums can definitely affect influence retail followers pockets lots.
