The only way this transaction makes sense is if AQC is a straw-man so AAL can avoid remediation costs - in which case AAL would have paid AQC to take this over to wash its hands of a liability. This is bottom-of-the-harbour stuff.
The transaction numbers won't be material to AAL, but should be for AQC. I will be very interested to see.
