re: Ann: Daily share buy-back notice - Append...
Correct me if I'm wrong, I always wondered why would an Australian investor invest in oversea utility with regulated premium being set certain range above the oversea risk free rate. I am thinking the CAPM model, the base yield in UK is too low, and in order to get 10-11% yield a higher risk premium is required, this is likely being translates to higher risk. Say SKI this oz playerI only yield 4% more than oz risk free rate while CIF has to get 8% extra in relation to UK risk rate, this puts us in disadvantage comparing to UK investors. I sometimes even wonder why is this company on AsX, they probably do better in Uk office. The constant unexplained slide in SP is indicating a high chance of disappointment, as we may not know the full picture yet. No free lunch in this market, institutions will buy up if it is ever attractive. This is not for conservative investors for sure.
